Presépio is Portuguese for "Nativity Scene". Follow along as we build this year's version of a long family tradition. Mai e Pai (Mom & Dad, in Portuguese) started this tradition with just a few figurines bought in a Paris airport, to hundreds of pieces lovingly collected or hand-crafted over the decades and across two continents.

Christmas Village tours now available...

Well, I don't think any videographers need tremble in their sneakers based on my first attempt at video production.  Tell me what you think! (Click that big triangle below)

  1. Brava! What a great camera person you are and how exciting for Joseph that he can now catch the subway so easily, too!

And to add to all this I see you've "veo-tagged" your film! Wonderful...that way I can go back to my favorite parts more easily!

  2. Perhaps I should have termed it "Multicast tagged"?

I can see a new future opening up for you as a videographer in 2010!

  3. And I thought the guy I saw in sandals and robe at Astor Place last week was an old East Village hippie (or, as they now put it at your old alma mater on Washingston Square: 'hipster')

Next time I'll buy him a cup of coffee from the MUDD truck.

Or maybe I'll just bring him one on Saturday! Can't wait to see you - and the village.

    Love...Donna

  4. Y'all are too funny! And Donna - if I remember any bible stories, I think that more than one revolves around a poor pathetic figure in fact being someone very important indeed, and one's eternal happiness depends on how one treats this seemingly lost soul...
Great - so thanks to Tom and you I am able to bring in a story about "love thy neighbor" - or at least, "buy your neighbor a cup a joe"...

  5. And yes, BB, the video navigation is now called Media Tag - made possible by Multicast (www.multicastmedia.com).
Have I just lost all my karma points by crassly commercializing this site? Just wait till I turn on AdSense!

  6. Oooo, AdSense - I can't wait to see what sorts will be generated. Or do you get to choose which advertisers are allowed on? I sense there will be some sort of Portuguese company represented...
